The Story of Lone Hawk Bulldogs
I fell in love with the Bulldog
breed because of a little bully named Roxy. She was a
sweet and special small bulldog with a heart of gold.
Unfortunately she belonged to my daughter! With each visit I became
more determined to own my very own bulldog. Having some
experience with showing and breeding Appaloosa horses I was very
particular about ensuring I get a quality animal and show
quality in particular. I had made several informed
internet purchases of horses without any qualms so knew the best
resource for locating just the right bully for me was to start
at my keyboard.
After innocently placing a casual inquiry on Bully Net I received at least 100 responses from breeders all over the US with available bullies of all sexes and ages. One response in particular with a picture of a little bulldog girl in Arkansas caught my eye. Mona, as she was known, was champion sired, and my favorite brindle color! After several days of reviewing all the now available and soon to be available bulldog puppies I again pulled up the picture of the cute little brindle and contacted her owner, Deborah Long, of Benchmark Bulldogs. Deborah was very patient with my uneducated bulldog terminology. I knew in my heart she was already my 'pick of the litter' and I couldn't wait to book my flight!
